Area Agency on Aging - Area 1B | Senior Transportation
Summary: The Area Agency on Aging 1-B (AAA 1-B) is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization with a network of resources to support older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers in southeast Michigan. Specifically, they offer transportation services through their myride2 program.
-
Summary: MyRide2 can help find transportation options for seniors and adults with disabilities who live in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. Whether you need information to assist you with finding transportation resources, continuing to drive safely, or how to use public transportation, myride2 can help you.
Myride2 is a transportation concierge service. That means people can call, let them know where they want to go and they will arrange transportation from start to finish. This can be especially helpful when seniors need to go on longer trips that take them outside the range of the neighborhood transportation services they might usually use—such as those provided by local senior centers or connector services.
Service Fee: There is no charge for arranging transportation through myride2, but there may be a cost for any transportation services they use. Payments are made directly to transportation providers.
Advanced Notice Needed: Please allow one to two business days to arrange a ride.
For more information, please visit MyRide2’s information page.
